The bitterness of "Poor Quality" Is Remembered Long After The Sweetness of Low Price is Forgotten.

PRODUCTION TIME: We do such a wide range of products that this is a very good question. About 50 or 60% ship the same day or next day. Another 25% will ship within a week. The other end of the product line usually takes up to 3 weeks depending on the content. But it takes about six (6) weeks after your approval, if you want your Bas-Relief Portrait cast in bronze.

METHOD OF PAYMENT:

The first order must be paid by credit or debit card (Visa or Master Card). Open accounts (30-day credit is available) by credit approval only.

ARTWORK:

We work in a PC environment. Artwork should preferably be in a vector file, such as CDR, EPS or AI. We will accept a good quality bitmap file such as: JPG, GIF, TIF, BMP or PNG. Logos are used as is, we do not alter other than resize. If we have to crop, convert colors or clean up your logo there will be graphics charges.

Do not use copies of letterhead, business cards or web graphics. These are poor quality. Image size should be at least 3 inches and a minimum of 300 dpi.

All fonts within logos should be converted to curves/outlines/paths. For award text, we can produce almost any font (or something close to it), if you give us the font name. We prefer receiving text as a .txt file from notepad without any formatting.

Color logos are accepted only for those awards that indicate so in the product details. Color artwork requirements are the same as above. We can not PMS color match. We will reproduce colors as close as we can. If color rendition is important we recommend you order a sample award first. For plaques with gold or silver plates: plate color may bleed through your logo. Whites can not be reproduced, unless we use a white plate. White becomes the plate color.

We will not accept logos in Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF files. Name your file your company name or your name. Do not name it "LOGO"!

If we are unable to use your logo you will be notified via email. We will not be held responsible if you decide to go ahead with a logo we recommend against usage or if you send questionable quality logos. It is the customer's responsibility to send a quality image. If you do not understand these instructions email or call before sending us anything. If we have to correspond more than two times to receive a proper logo you may incur graphics charges.

Final layout of all awards is left to our discretion, unless you specifically notify us how you would like your award to look.

If you request a proof one will be emailed to you at $7.00 each.

Custom Awards Plus. Inc. will not be responsible for errors if these instructions are not followed.

TRADEMARKS:

Custom Awards Plus, Inc. Assumes that by emailing us your logo that you are hereby authorizing us to reproduce it as requested, and you further agree that you have authority to authorize such use.

BOTTOM LINE ON TROPHIES:

One of the pitfalls of the trophy business is the wide variety of finished product that is available.

Trophies and medals are usually a very good example of, "you get what you pay for."

A couple of the pitfalls are explained below:
  1. It is not uncommon for us to have a parent come in with a generic medal with no engraving, no identity, and wanting us to personalize it for them.

It is not uncommon for an active student to forget within six weeks exactly where an award was earned.

A little time usually changes this a lot. We do our best to keep this from happening.

Our medals and trophies are priced including the engraving and the customer is always told that the personalization is free.

If the customer chooses not to take advantage of this, we can't help it.

  2. We see a lot of trophies that come for repair and etc. that were assembled with as few parts and as cheaply as possible.

    Things to look for are:

    1. Is the engraving readable - silver writing on a gold plate is usually difficult at best.
    2. Does the plate stand vertical or on a diagonal for ease of reading. If it is vertical, you are looking at a trophy with a lid for a base.
    3. Does it have a weighted base.

You may be amazed at how little more you pay to get a trophy from us. And you will not have to count characters of engraving and etc
