Engraving and Sublimation of "print ready" artwork is always free at Custom Awards Plus.
Definitions
Vector Based Image: Vector based images are images that are based on mathematical equations, allowing them to be infinitely resized. Common file extensions are CDR, EPS, AI, SVG.
Raster Image: A raster image is a data structure representing a grid of pixels or points of color. These images can not be resized to a larger size without loosing detail. Common file extensions are JPG, PNG, GIF, TIFF.
Artwork for Engraving
In order to be "print ready" your artwork must be submitted in a vector based format. Common vector based file types include CDR, EPS, AI, and SVG. This list is not meant to be comprehensive although it is required that the artwork in the file be vector based. A raster image such as a JPG or PNG saved as an EPS does not count as "print ready".
Artwork for Sublimating
In order to be "print ready" your artwork must be submitted in either a vector based format or as a raster image that is at least as large as the final printed size at 300 pixels per inch. For raster images, the general rule is, the bigger the better. Raster images that are submitted at a size that is smaller than the final size and/or at less than 300 ppi, may result in a lower quality final image.
(For example: if you submit a 4x6 inch image at 150 ppi to be printed on an 8x10 inch plaque board, the final image may be lower quality. To maintain the highest possible quality, we need at least an 8x10 inch image at 300 ppi for an 8x10 inch print.)
Fonts
The process for matching a specific font is very time consuming, because of this, we would appreciate if when using a specific font, you provide us with the font file, located in the "fonts" folder on the computer in which the artwork was created.
If you don't have the font file, please provide us with the full name of the font, a sample of the font (as a raster image), the full name of your second choice of font if your first choice can't be used, and finally a general description of the font so that if we can't use either of your choices, we can select a comparable font.
Don't Have Print Ready Artwork?
Let us help! For artwork that is not "print ready" we can help by creating a vector based version for you. Unlike most awards shops and ad specialty companies, we will give you a digital copy of the "print ready" artwork when we're done. This can save you time and money the next time you need to use your logo or artwork.
We charge $40 an hour by the half hour with a minimum of $40. Most images can be made into print ready artwork in less than 1 hour.
If we are unable to use your logo you will be notified via email. We will
not be held responsible if you decide to go ahead with a logo we recommend
against using or if you send questionable quality logos. It is the customer's
responsibility to send a quality image. If you do not understand these
instructions email or call before sending us anything. If we have to
correspond more than two times to receive a proper logo you may incur
graphics charges.
Final layout of all awards is left to our discretion, unless you
specifically notify us how you would like your award to look.
If you request a proof one will be emailed to you at $7.00 each.
